The evidence based practice (EBP) coordinator is responsible for operationalizing, managing and coordinating a variety of evidence-based practice (EBP) projects, activities, reports, schedules and management of data. The EBP coordinator is also responsible for developing the capacity of individuals, groups and the Department of Nursing in using EBP as a means to improve practice, systems and, ultimately, patient care.

This position requires advanced knowledge of systems change, improvement processes and outcomes measurement. The EBP coordinator reports to the Nurse Scientist in Central Nursing Administration.

Five years of clinical nursing experience with at least two years of interdisciplinary or interdepartmental program/project management experience at a nursing leadership level.



Desired Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of hospital administrative and operation structure and the impact of that upon project

management.

Advanced knowledge of information and project management.

Advanced knowledge of systems change, improvement processes, and outcomes measurement.

Advanced presentation skills.

Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary setting in order to facilitate problem

solving and establish productive working relationships.

Ability to influence and negotiate individual and group decision-making.

Ability to function effectively in a fluid, dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

Ability to use software applications (i.e. database, spreadsheets, word processing, presentation

programs at proficient to advanced level.



Required Education
Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
