Job Description:
Current certification/re-certification as a Certified Registered Nurse AnesOrganizes and coordinates CRNA activities at Geisinger Medical Center to include practice issues, performance improvement projects, and other duties to optimize total patient care and employee satisfaction. Assists with CRNA recruitment and retention; provides back-up coverage and support to the Divisional Chief Nurse Anesthetist, Anesthesiology Service Line. Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in support of surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Performs all duties when serving in the role of Charge CRNA. Participates in Performance Improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement activities (CQI).
Performs all duties to provide the highest level of quality patient care and maximize patient satisfaction.
Reports to the Director, Department of Anesthesiology, GMC for clinically related issues and to the Divisional Chief Nurse Anesthetist, Anesthesiology Service Line for administrative issues.

Current licensure as a registered Nurse in Pennsylvania required.
Minimum five years experience as an active, practicing CRNA required.
Prior supervisory/management experience as a CRNA strongly preferred.
