Job Title: RNI-Clinical Research Nurse
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Full Time varying daylight hours Day (1st shift) w/ on-call responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN) Valid PA Driver’s License 2+ years of healthcare experience is required. This position is responsible for all research nurse activities as they relate to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Transfusion Medicine / Hemostasis Clinical Trial Network (TMH CTN). Comply with all regulatory agencies and requirements set forth in the TMH CTN and the study-specific manual of procedures (MOP). The TMH studies will be conducted at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, UPMC Presby/Montefiore Hospital and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. As new studies emerge within the TMH CTN, this position will transition to those studies. Current Pennsylvania State Nursing license is required. Certification of Research Integrity and Human Subjects training within the last 3 years. 2+ years of healthcare experience is required. Experience with grants or participation in clinical studies in a heath care environment is preferred. Familiarity with computers and data entry for reporting statistical requirements. Venipuncture experience is preferred. Candidate must have good oral communication and customer interaction skills. Must also demonstrate deductive clinical reasoning in determination of subject eligibility criteria.

Job Title:  Float Pool - RN III
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Full Time Varied Hours Varied Shifts Registered Nurse Valid PA Driver’s License 1 year of supervisory experience is required. Responsible for managing and ensuring technical excellence at an assigned Apheresis Donor Center. Accountable for maintaining a high standard of quality for both product and donor care. Supervises the Donor Specialist II staff during collection, sampling, labeling, and apheresis product handling and shipping. Monitors product yields, donor counts and site quality control. Acts as the technical expert in the area of apheresis product collection and troubleshooting. Precepts new Donor Specialist II staff in Apheresis collections and responsible for ongoing training, competency and evaluation of existing staff. Registered Nurse required. Blood Banking/Apheresis experience preferred, along with 1 year of Management/Supervisory experience.
